2025 Legislative Session
This year is RIPE with opportunity.
Hoosiers, you have laid the groundwork over the past 4 years, and we should all be excited about the potential that awaits us during this session.
With that said, it is going to be busy. I have no doubt that you will rise to the occasion.
As usual, our legislature has offered up bills that are DANGEROUS to our medical Liberty.
Below, you will be able to see a working list of the good, bad, and UGLY. As the session moves forward, I will add more information to this page.

Before we start the review, here is some basic information about the session and the deadlines for 2025.

2025 Outlook:
Good Bills:
HB1427- Rep Bruce Borders, at the request of Hoosiers for Medical Liberty.
Requires manufacturers of liability shielded products to conduct placebo controlled safety studies including research into ability to cause cancer, allergies, fertility impacts and more. See details: h4ml.org/liability
HB1338- Rep Bruce Borders, at the request of Hoosiers for Medical Liberty. Allows an employer to mandate vaccinations so long as they respect the individual's right to refuse.
HB1344- Rep Bruce Borders authored this bill that would create Indiana's own Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System
Need improvement, but honorable mention:
HB1168- Rep Jim Lucas. This bill prohibits the requirement of a liability shielded product. The premise of this bill is fantastic, however it does no currently have enforcement mechanisms, which are necessary part of effective laws. We contacted Rep. Lucas and he is open to an amendment that would create enforcement provisions.
Political Immunization: Bills that seem good but do nothing.
HB1160- Rep. Becky Cash- This bill stipulates that students seeking careers in the medical professions must not be denied a religious exemption by the educational program. Just as last year, this bill fails to address private schools or the clinical sites that commonly are blamed for exemption denials.
